The IFHP provides limited, temporary health benefit coverage for eligible individuals who do not have access to private, provincial or territorial health coverage. You typically don’t need to apply for this program as your immigration status will automatically determine your eligibility. Depending on the eligible group you fall under, your coverage length will differ.
